About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Entry-Level CAD Design Technician to join their Land Development team in their St. Louis Park, MN office. This role involves using basic computer drafting software to create site plans and construction drawings for projects. The technician will be responsible for designing and producing plan sets, adhering to AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards, assisting with the drawing database, and performing routine data accuracy checks. The position also requires developing familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Exposure to Autodesk
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
• Ability to work independently and with a team

Responsibilities

• Designing and producing sets of plans
• Implementing and managing AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards
• Assists in maintaining drawing database
