About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Entry-Level CAD Design Technician to join their Land Development team in their St. Louis Park, MN office. This role involves using computer drafting software to create site plans and construction drawings, adhering to Kimley-Horn's drafting and plan preparation standards. The technician will also assist in maintaining the drawing database, perform routine data accuracy checks, and develop an understanding of the company's practices and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to Autodesk.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects.
• Design and produce sets of plans.
• Implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Assist in maintaining the drawing database.
• Perform routine analysis to check accuracy of data.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
