As a Civil Design Manager, the role involves leading quality assurance/quality control, providing senior-level design review, attending client meetings, and directing and managing project staff on technical aspects of projects. Travel to job sites at different stages in construction and working in various terrain and weather conditions may be required. Olsson currently has growth opportunities for their Site Design group and offers flexible work options, including remote and hybrid opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
- Associate Degree in Drafting
- 10 years of CAD software experience (AutoCAD Civil 3d)
- Project Management skills for medium-sized projects
Responsibilities
- Directs and manages staff on technical aspects of projects including coordination with all disciplines involved on projects.
- Plans and oversees the quality review process of project deliverables.
- Provides a consultative resource to clients for project resolution.
- Strengthens and further develops subject matter expertise in certain design areas.
- Provides senior-level design review for various projects on the team and acts as a resource for technical issues.
- May assist in the preparation of project studies by completing drawings, sketching, or acquiring data.
- Promotes efficiencies in producing quality work.
- Supervises and reviews assignments of less experienced staff.
