About The Position

HDR is hiring a Civil Construction Inspector II to conduct and document observations of civil construction projects as work progresses. Projects may include roads, bridges, water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines. The role involves working with other field representatives and Project Managers, interpreting construction drawings and specifications, and identifying document discrepancies or conflicts. The inspector may also provide guidance to less-experienced field staff and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to actively participating in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school education or an Associate degree.
• Road and bridge construction experience.
• Tennessee DOT experience.
• Relevant industry certifications.
• Ability to interpret construction schedules.

Responsibilities
