The Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at Brigham Young University (BYU) seeks applications from highly qualified candidates for two full-time positions in continuing-faculty-status tracks. The department invites outstanding candidates across all areas of Construction and Facilities Management or related fields. Focus areas for this position may include, but are not limited to, construction management, facilities management, building systems, construction finance, real estate development, urban and architectural design, and related fields. The department is located in a new engineering building with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories and benefits from a strong university-wide emphasis on mentored research for both graduate and undergraduate students. Department resources and university support are extensive, including generous funding for capital equipment and supplies, an annual travel budget, substantial funding for student teaching assistants, access to extensive computer hardware and software, and acclaimed international study-abroad programs. The department emphasizes experiential learning with an interdisciplinary approach to sustainably and ethically design, engineer, construct, and manage the built environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate their ability to contribute through high-quality teaching, mentorship, and a focused research agenda.
