About The Position

ESP Associates, Inc. has an immediate opening for a CAD Technician located in our San Antonio office. Responsibilities include providing drafting and graphics support and assisting engineers and design staff with civil design focused primarily on land development projects. Assignments may include performing basic Civil Design, such as Street Grades, Water System layout, Sanitary Sewer collection system layout, stormwater system layout, parking lot layout, general Site Plan development and setting up land plats.

Requirements

Familiarity in working with Land Surveying data files such as boundaries, topography, and construction staking required
Candidates will be required to demonstrate strong self-motivational and organizational skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
Ability to read and understand topographic maps and survey data
Work experience preparing general civil engineering drawings is required
Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy

Nice To Haves

Associate certificate or higher in Drafting is preferred
Experience with Civil 3D preferred
Experience with Arc View is helpful
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a group setting

Responsibilities

Provide drafting and graphics support
Assist engineers and design staff with civil design focused primarily on land development projects
Perform basic Civil Design, such as Street Grades, Water System layout, Sanitary Sewer collection system layout, stormwater system layout, parking lot layout, general Site Plan development and setting up land plats
Produce drawings in accordance with company CAD standards, specific project requirements and clients’ preferences
Manage and coordinate multiple simultaneous projects while providing good follow-through and attention to detail
