About The Position

As a Civil Affairs Planner, you will integrate civil considerations into operational planning across all phases of operations, conducting detailed analysis of civil networks, terrain, and vulnerabilities to inform mission planning and decision-making. You will coordinate with interagency, host‑nation, and non‑governmental partners to align civil‑military objectives and develop courses of action that reflect civil inputs, stability requirements, and governance factors. In this role, you will prepare civil elements of operational plans, annexes, and supporting documents, assess how military operations affect civilian populations, infrastructure, and essential services, and monitor ongoing activities to identify emerging civil‑related risks and opportunities. You will also produce briefings, assessments, and decision-support materials that convey critical civil considerations to. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in civil affairs planning
  • Experience at a Combatant Command or Joint Force Headquarters
  • Experience coordinating with interagency, host‑nation, and non‑governmental partners
  • Experience assessing impacts of military operations on civilian populations and infrastructure
  • Experience producing briefings, assessments, and decision‑support materials for General Officer or Flag Officer audiences
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of experience in civil affairs or operational planning
  • Master’s degree
