About The Position

This role involves assisting with auditions for City Music. The assistant will call students from the holding room, usher them to their warm-up and audition rooms, and escort them back to their parents in the holding room. The position requires being a role model to help build confidence and dispel nerves for students, many of whom are auditioning for the first time. It is a fun but busy day, requiring the assistant to be on their feet and "on" for their entire shift.

Requirements

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Summer employment exception: Must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester if not enrolled in the summer.
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (first-semester students are exempt until they have an official GPA).
  • Federal Work Study students may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.

  • Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
