About The Position

The City of Chandler Communications and Public Affairs Department is seeking qualified individuals for a Part-Time, Temporary, Non-Benefited City Hall Receptionist position. This role serves at the discretion of the department director and is scheduled to work up to 15 hours per week on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The specific days and hours will vary based on coverage needs and availability. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration, who can provide receptionist services for City Hall, including routing calls and residents, providing public information, tracking inquiries, and processing work orders.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in administrative support
  • Fingerprinting with successful results as a condition of continued employment
  • Awareness of the City of Chandler’s policies concerning the use of drugs and alcohol, including that the use of recreational marijuana is a violation of the city’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide receptionist service for City Hall
  • Route calls and residents to appropriate services
  • Provide information to the public

  • Process work orders
