As the Citizen Police Volunteer (VIPS), you will: become familiar with the police department’s philosophy, strategies, and policies. These volunteers will become citizen ambassadors of the police department and foster police community relations. In addition, VIPS represent a valuable resource for the department who can represent the police department at special events and assist officers at the department with appropriate assignments.

Requirements

• Age requirements – Citizens Police Volunteer (18 and above).
• Must have completed a Citizen's Police Academy (CPA) with the Celina Police Department.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation and MVR check.
• Must possess valid class C driver’s license.
