About The Position

Talon Air is seeking a Captain for a dedicated Citation Sovereign account. This role involves flying a mix of Part 91 owner trips and Part 135 charter flights for a well-established owner account. Talon Air is a Part 135 operator based in Farmingdale, NY, with a fleet of over 40 aircraft. This is a unique opportunity for a pilot to work closely with a dedicated owner while benefiting from the support and infrastructure of a premier management company. Most pilots are home-based and travel to the aircraft for rotations. Pilots receive base compensation plus hourly pay for charter flights.

Requirements

  • ATP
  • 3000+ Total Time
  • 1000+ Multi-Engine Time
  • 750+ PIC Time (500+ MEL PIC preferred)
  • 150 Instrument
  • FAA First Class Medical
  • Valid Passport
  • Must be a team player and work well in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and international flight operations regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and advanced multitasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, iPads, email, and web/mobile applications

Nice To Haves

  • Type rating in the Citation Sovereign is preferred
  • Part 135 experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient flight operations for domestic and international trip assignments operating under 14 CFR Part 91 and Part 135 regulations while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain a high degree of crew coordination, performing duties in a professional, efficient, and cordial manner at all times.
  • Provide an exceptional experience for the aircraft owner and passengers while representing Talon Air in a professional manner.
  • Greeting of passengers and assistance with passenger seating and luggage storage.
  • Conduct passenger briefings and respond to passenger requests and needs.
  • Adhere to the duties and responsibilities stated in all company procedures manuals.
  • Maintain a current First Class Medical certificate as required by Talon Air policy and notify the company if a medical (physical or mental) condition may impair the ability to perform flight duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
