About The Position

Miller Transportation Group is seeking an Account Manager for its Miller Dedicated Services division in the Charlotte, NC area. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations at a client location, including supervising 11 CDL A Drivers, managing daily schedules, and acting as a liaison between the client, drivers, and the management team. The position requires prior experience in managing drivers, routing, and supervising truck loading. The ideal candidate will be available to work Sunday night through Thursday night, with flexibility as needed, and will be on-call for operational issues.

Requirements

  • Prior experience managing a staff of professional Drivers delivering to our client's HUBs and Distribution Centers.
  • Prior Routing experience.
  • Experience supervising the loading of trucks for day to day deliveries.
  • Experience entering detailed delivery information into appropriate software and collection of paperwork daily.
  • Experience scheduling Drivers and managing the daily operations while acting as the liaison between our client, our drivers, and the MDS management team.
  • The ability and willingness to be on-call for any operational issues.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operation at the client location.
  • Schedule and manage 11 CDL A Drivers on a daily basis.
  • Act as the liaison between the client, drivers, and the management team for Miller Dedicated Services.
  • Oversee routing once established.
  • Supervise the loading of trucks for day-to-day deliveries.
  • Enter detailed delivery information into appropriate software and collect paperwork daily.
  • Manage daily operations.
  • Be available to work Sunday Night - Thursday Night (Friday AM finish), with hours from 10:00 PM until 6:30 AM (with flexibility as needed).
  • Be on-call for any operational issues.
  • Take responsibility for the successful day-to-day operations of the Dedicated Contract Carriage at the client site.
  • Be the Go-To person at the site for the client, drivers, and the MDS management team.
  • Complete all requirements of the job with direction and support from the MDS team.
  • Be capable of helping build out the operations at the site.
