About The Position

The Citation C560 First Officer supports safe and efficient flight operations under the supervision of the captain. The Citation C560 First Officer works collaboratively with the flight crew to deliver exceptional service and maintain operational safety throughout all phase of flight.

Requirements

  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) Certificate or IATRA
  • 650 hours total flight time (100 hours pilot-in-command), 100-hour time on type
  • This position requires relocation to Winnipeg
  • Have a strong knowledge of Transport Canada regulations
  • Able to obtain Driving Airside License (D/A)
  • Able to obtain and maintain Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Valid Passport required and able to travel abroad unrestricted
  • Clear Current Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry and Vulnerable Sectors Check
  • Be fully vaccinated with a Canadian approved COVID-19 vaccination

  • MEDEVAC/Air Ambulance experience is considered an asset
  • Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Pre-flight duties familiarization: Route, aerodromes, winds, weather, navigation aids, alternate plans.
  • Ensure flight can be made safely and in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations
  • Operate aircraft in accordance with CARS and take corrective action if safety is jeopardized, adhere to checklist for various flight phases
  • Observe instructions and limitations in Operations Manual, Flight Manual, and Certificate of Airworthiness
  • Follow Air Traffic Control, Communications, and Weather reporting procedures
  • Ensure aircraft operation within parameters for patients, report deviations in Captains Trip Report
  • Report known or suspected aircraft defects to maintenance department and record in Journey Log
  • Check weather for unusual conditions and take precautions to protect aircraft during stop-over
  • Complete and submit associated paperwork (Journey Log, Flight Manifests, Captains Trip Report, Load Control forms, fuel slips, Dangerous Goods)
  • Follow flight procedures and notify authority of crew location
  • Carry out any duties as detailed in the Safety Management System Manual
