About The Position
Bitterroot Health is seeking a Circulating Nurse – Operating Room RN for its Surgical Services Department in Hamilton, Montana. The OR RN provides direct care to patients from pediatric through geriatric populations, addressing psychosocial, physical, and general care needs related to the surgical environment. The nurse communicates with the Surgeon and CRNA continuously and as needed regarding the patient's condition. The role also supports surgical equipment and inventory maintenance, performance improvement activities, surgical case scheduling, and staff scheduling. The OR RN assists the Department Head of Surgical Services with developing, revising, and implementing department policies and procedures; participating in the budget process; orienting new employees; improving staffing efficiency; problem solving; clarifying job expectations; and maintaining a steady level of productivity. This is a PRN position as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Provide documentation of Montana state licensure.
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and NILS certifications are required.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including AORN Standards and OSHA.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a surgical setting.
Nice To Haves
- PALS certification preferred.
Responsibilities
