About The Position

TouchTronics, Inc. is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Circuit Board Assembler to join our Printed Circuit Board Assembly team. This is more than a traditional circuit board assembly position. You will operate manufacturing equipment and assemble high-quality electronic products while developing valuable experience in equipment programming, process improvement, engineering changes, and corrective actions. Our customized 12-volt and 24-volt systems are used in delivery vehicles, recreational vehicles, motorhomes, buses, truck cranes, public-safety vehicles, mobility vehicles, and other specialized applications. TouchTronics brings design, engineering, programming, and manufacturing together to produce high-quality custom components and solutions that are not readily available off the shelf. Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
• Zero to one or more years of experience working with small components, circuit boards, electronics, or product assembly.
• Experience performing crafts, detailed handwork, or other small-piece assembly may also be valuable.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and product quality.
• Basic math, counting, and inventory skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and retain work instructions and process documentation.
• Ability to perform detailed small-component work at an efficient pace.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and move between tasks as production needs change.
• Willingness and ability to learn production equipment, hand tools, screw guns, and related machinery.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective verbal communication and willingness to ask questions or request assistance.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and respond positively to instruction, coaching, and feedback.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to learn, adapt, and solve problems.
• Commitment to following company policies, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Use hands and fingers to handle small components and operate hand tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Operate a keyboard and view a computer screen.
• Read, review, understand, and interpret work orders, process instructions, and production documentation.
• Read small print and distinguish fine details associated with circuit board assembly.
• Maintain the concentration and manual precision necessary to perform detailed work.
• Meet vision requirements that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Communicate with others in person, by telephone, and through computer-based systems.
• Listen, analyze information, solve problems, and respond appropriately.
• Stand, sit, and walk for periods throughout the workday.
• Climb, bend, reach, stoop, crouch, kneel, squat, and twist as necessary.
• Push, pull, carry, and move materials or equipment.
• Occasionally sit while operating motorized equipment.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

• Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT, circuit board, and related production equipment safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Assemble printed circuit boards and electronic components according to established specifications and procedures.
• Read and follow work orders, process instructions, engineering documentation, and production requirements.
• Use hand tools, computer systems, and manufacturing equipment.
• Count products and maintain accurate inventory and production records.
• Inspect parts and completed work to confirm that all components meet quality specifications.
• Notify management of defective materials, process concerns, or conditions that could affect product quality.
• Assemble, sort, test, and label products accurately and efficiently.
• Complete final testing to help ensure reliable, high-quality products are delivered on time.
• Assist with equipment programming and production adjustments.
• Support engineering changes, corrective actions, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other team members to meet production and customer requirements.
• Perform other related duties as business needs evolve.
