About The Position

The CIB USA Analyst Program is designed for ambitious, high-achieving students graduating in May or June 2026 who are eager to begin their careers in investment banking and global markets. As an analyst, you will gain hands-on experience in one of BBVA’s CIB business areas, contributing to live transactions, market activity, and client projects from day one. You will participate in structured training focused on technical skills, product knowledge, and financial markets, ensuring a strong foundation to build your career. You will benefit from mentorship and career support, including guidance from senior leaders and networking with peers across BBVA’s global platform. You will work in a collaborative and inclusive culture that values integrity, innovation, and client focus. This is a full-time program beginning in Summer 2026, with placement into one of our core business areas. The program is designed to provide the technical expertise, professional development, and global perspective necessary to become a successful future leader in Corporate & Investment Banking. Candidates selected will be considered for placement in one of the following areas: Corporate and Investment Banking Industry Coverage Team, Global Markets Sales and Trading, Investment Banking, Global Transaction Banking, and Risk.

Requirements

Graduating in May or June 2026
Strong academic achievement (all majors considered, finance/economics preferred)
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Interest in financial markets, banking, and global business
Commitment to BBVA’s values of integrity, customer focus, and innovation
Employment eligibility to work with BBVA in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions

Responsibilities

Gain hands-on experience in one of BBVA’s CIB business areas, contributing to live transactions, market activity, and client projects from day one.
Participate in structured training focused on technical skills, product knowledge, and financial markets.
Benefit from mentorship and career support, including guidance from senior leaders and networking with peers across BBVA’s global platform.
Work in a collaborative and inclusive culture that values integrity, innovation, and client focus.
Act as the primary relationship managers for BBVA’s corporate and institutional clients (Industry Coverage Team).
Develop long-term client partnerships, identify client needs, and coordinate across product areas to deliver comprehensive financial solutions (Industry Coverage Team).
Understand client strategy, structure financing, and provide advisory support across industries (Industry Coverage Team).
Provide clients with access to capital markets products, including foreign exchange, fixed income, and equity-linked solutions (Global Markets Sales and Trading).
Gain insight into how market dynamics drive client needs, learn how to execute trades, and support clients with tailored risk management strategies (Global Markets Sales and Trading).
Gain exposure to Corporate Lending, Fund Finance, Project Finance, Real Estate Finance, Debt Advisory, Capital Solutions, ESG and Low Carbon Advisory, and Securitization (Investment Banking).
Learn execution and advisory skills across multiple products and sectors (Investment Banking).
Provide innovative solutions in cash management, trade finance, and working capital optimization (Global Transaction Banking).
Learn how to deliver services that help clients manage liquidity, payments, and global trade flows efficiently (Global Transaction Banking).
Develop skills in credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, market and operational risk management, and gain exposure to regulatory frameworks (Risk).
Ensure the bank maintains a strong control environment and sustainable risk profile (Risk).
