About The Position

The Community Investment Programs Assistant will coordinate the administration of and support the operational functions of the Community Investment Programs team. Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, this position is integral to coordinating the work of United Way of Tarrant County (UWTC) and our impact team.

Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in all interactions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize work, manage time and multiple priorities, and meet deadlines; attention to detail and accuracy; the ability to set realistic goals and objectives
  • Strong written communications skills, along with highly effective oral communications
  • Proficiency and comfort conducting independent research and working with data
  • Strong technical skills and ability to learn new platforms
  • Experience in grant monitoring and management
  • Ability to work with professionals at all levels, as well as individuals in need of service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Tarrant County Non-Profit agencies/organizations and community needs/issues strongly preferred
  • Texas driver’s license, proper vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Reliable Internet access to support remote work when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor level degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related discipline preferred
  • Fluency in other languages preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordination of Community Investment Programs and their activities
  • Manage the administration of Community Investment Programs, such as data entry, supporting CI committee meetings such as CI Cabinet, regional meetings etc., (scheduling meetings, sending calendar invitations, managing attendance, preparing materials, and developing meeting minutes)
  • Prepares and edits correspondence, presentations, reports, and memos
  • Creates, audits and updates databases and shared file drives as needed, ensuring they remain current and relevant
  • Establish relationships with service agencies for optimal understanding as to what is provided, to whom and for what purpose
  • Collects information regarding available resources including financial, goods and services to maintain and promote resource listings
  • Monitors and assists with data collection to inform colleagues, community, and partners across the organization, ensuring compliance and best practices in data management and reporting
  • Assists in program development and evaluation using a variety of data tools and research
  • Assists in the marketing and promotion of programs and activities, and solicitation and onboarding of volunteers
  • Assists in the research and collection of community‐level data from a variety of sources
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports
  • Provides grant and allocation operational support such as informational sessions, community round tables, site visits, trainings, committee meetings, reporting and tracking etc.
  • Supports the overall function of the team by managing mail, greeting guests and visitors, meeting room set up (internal and external), conference room bookings, handling incoming phone calls and inquiries etc.
  • Supports cross-departmental activities, including communications, marketing, special events, fundraising, and outreach opportunities
  • Provides administrative support as needed to the department and UWTC
  • Assists in providing support to interns and/or volunteers
  • Provides support to other department priorities, as needed, e.g., strategic plan, annual budget, special initiatives and events, fundraising etc.
