About The Position

The CI Engineer supports continuous improvement, project management, operational initiatives, and labor management in a 24/7 environment. The role uses a Lean mentality to analyze systems and processes, identify opportunities to improve KPIs, and contribute to scalable process improvements. The engineer works with cross-functional partners and supports the implementation and documentation of process changes.

The position also supports the creation, validation, and maintenance of engineering labor standards; evaluates internal and external processes and systems; and scopes system change orders and functional requirements documents (FRDs).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent years of directly related experience in Lean/Continuous Improvement roles.
• At least 2 years of experience with proven operations process improvements.
• Clear and concise communication skills.

• Distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis of systems and processes by organizing complex issues into structured problems.
• Use dashboards and reporting tools to assist with root-cause analysis and contribute solution ideas with guidance from cross-functional partners.
• Assist in creating and refining building process improvements, including documentation and workflow management.
• Maintain accurate records of current processes and help identify opportunities to improve KPIs.
• Participate in brainstorming and support the rollout of scalable improvements.
• Assist in coordinating building and support-team projects, keeping work aligned with priorities.
• Help monitor project scope, schedules, and risks; draft project materials; support team meetings; communicate progress; and maintain documentation of process changes.
• Support operational and network initiatives with a cross-functional mindset in a 24/7 environment.
• Create, validate, and maintain engineering labor standards.
• Evaluate internal and external processes and systems.
• Scope system change orders and FRDs.
• Lead department-level project implementation with clear and concise communication.
