The CI Engineer will supervise launching performance and take a leading role for project transfer. They will support the CI process team for process improvements and quality improvements. This role participates in the activities of projects in the RFQ phase, providing process data and information. The CI Engineer determines and develops the manufacturing concept, including process layout, considering lessons learned from prototyping phases. They will specify required machines, tools, and fixtures, respecting available standards, and define the required process schedule and personnel. The role verifies and confirms manufacturing feasibility of the product, sets up and updates the Standardized Work Chart, and conducts Process FMEA while contributing to Design FMEA. The CI Engineer checks available and required equipment, prepares capex requests for required capital equipment, and obtains approval. They develop the process documentation required by the systematic standard and/or other applicable standards, and ensure fulfillment of short-term and long-term process capability and equipment safety requirements. The role takes the lead of project sample manufacturing, including internal performance tests, and leads new process/technology rollouts within the team. The CI Engineer contributes to project success by regular attendance of project team meetings, reporting of status, and cooperation with other team members. Additional duties may be assigned.
