About The Position

Quik Travel Staffing is seeking a Chronic Dialysis Technician (PCT) to work on a travel assignment. The technician assesses patients’ responses to dialysis therapy and makes appropriate treatment-plan adjustments as directed by supervisors or prescribed by a physician. The role includes assessing patients before, during, and after dialysis and documenting findings; administering ordered medications; and identifying educational needs and educating patients and families about end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications. Candidates must be flexible about travel to the assignment location, available for the facility’s required schedule, complete onboarding promptly, and adapt quickly to new environments while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience as a dialysis technician.
• Current dialysis certification in good standing (CCHT or BONENT).
• Current Nebraska state dialysis certification in good standing, or the ability to apply once submitted.
• BLS certification is required for chronic and acute settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient response to dialysis therapy.
• Make appropriate adjustments and modifications to treatment plans as directed by supervisors or prescribed by the physician.
• Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis and document findings.
• Administer medications as ordered to assigned patients.
• Assess patients’ educational needs and educate patients and families regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications.
• Travel to the assignment location and work the facility’s required schedule.
• Complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
• Adapt quickly to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
