About The Position
The Salvation Army is seeking a temporary full-time Christmas Kettle Driver. This role is responsible for transporting employees and volunteers to and from assigned kettle locations, setting up and picking up kettle stands, and collecting Christmas donations. The driver will ensure the security of kettles and report any signs of tampering. A pre-vehicle safety check is required before each use. Punctual and regular attendance is essential.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older to drive for TSA.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- MVR must not exceed 2 points in total.
- MVR with no DUIs within the last 18 months.
- Ability to pass a defensive driving course.
- Must be a safe and alert driver.
Responsibilities
- Transport employees/volunteers to kettle sites.
- Drop off and pick up kettles following a scheduled route.
- Ensure kettles are secure with locks and set up properly.
- Pick up kettles at the end of the bell-ringing day.
- Report any signs of tampering with kettles.
- Collect Christmas donations (toys, food, etc.) from assigned locations.
- Conduct pre-vehicle safety checks (tires, brake lights, etc.).
- Maintain on-time regular attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned related to Kettles.
