Christmas Driver
About The Position
The Christmas Driver drives a company truck and/or van to transport bell ringers, stands, signs, kettles, and other equipment to and from designated locations. The role may also involve picking up Angel Tree gifts and transporting them to the warehouse. Daily responsibilities may include setting up and disassembling Bell Ringer equipment and performing other duties during the Christmas season. The driver operates the vehicle in compliance with The Salvation Army's standards and North Carolina driving regulations, and maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle, equipment, and warehouse. The role also requires ensuring the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations, and assisting with warehouse and other work as requested. The position is seasonal and part-time, based at the NSC-Statesville Corps in Statesville, North Carolina, with no travel percentage specified beyond local driving duties.
Requirements
- Clean driving record.
- At least 2 years of driving experience.
- Meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.
- Knowledge of the assigned geographic area, Iredell County.
- Ability to organize routes efficiently to save time and gasoline consumption.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with coworkers and follow instructions.
Responsibilities
