About The Position

Responsible for the overall operation of the chorus. This role involves selecting music, attending concerts, supervising and conducting rehearsals, and overseeing the accompanist and volunteers. The Chorus Director will work closely with participants on music selection, communicate performance details, and provide high-quality customer service in a professional manner. Adherence to Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines, along with proactive support of the District's Mission, Vision, and Values, is expected. Maintaining good safety awareness and following all safety guidelines and procedures are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
CPR/AED certified or obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
Be a �Mandated Reporter� for the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act

Responsibilities

Select music
Attend concerts
