The Chop Shop Clerk is responsible for providing service that exceeds the expectations of customers by performing the following duties (other duties may be assigned). This role involves stocking shelves in the Produce department, preparing fruit for stocking by washing, cutting, peeling, and wrapping, and stamping, marking, or tagging merchandise with prices. The clerk must possess knowledge of various produce types, their origins, growth, preparation, and lifespan, and be able to use scales. Building business through excellent customer service and fostering repeat business is a key aspect of the role. A strict '15 Second Service' policy requires acknowledging or greeting customers within 15 seconds of their arrival, whether at a counter or on the sales floor, and consistently executing the 'Seven Points to Extraordinary Service'.
