About The Position

The Director of Chiropractic Services serves as the clinical and administrative leader of chiropractic services at NATIVE HEALTH. This position is responsible for the strategic development, evaluation, and delivery of comprehensive, evidence-informed musculoskeletal care within a community-oriented, integrated healthcare setting. The Director oversees the chiropractic service line and ensures the provision of high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with generally accepted professional standards, Arizona regulatory requirements, and NATIVE HEALTH policies and procedures. The Director plays a key leadership role in establishing sustainable program infrastructure, performance benchmarks, and expansion opportunities to support long-term growth and integration within the Patient-Centered Medical Home model. The Director initially provides approximately 32 hours of direct patient care and 8 hours of administrative leadership per week, with the allocation adjusted over time to meet evolving program needs.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of evidence-informed musculoskeletal care and chiropractic best practices.
  • Knowledge of FQHC operations and integrated care models.
  • Leadership capability in developing emerging service lines.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems.

  • Ability to read, write and speak clearly understandable English.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules to accommodate clinic patients and local communities.
  • Familiarity with the pace of primary care and working with an interdisciplinary team, and strong communication skills.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the NextGen EMR system.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs with the ability to effectively communicate using Outlook.
  • Good interpersonal and human relations skills are required.
  • Must possess skills to empathize and care for a variety of patients, including low-income and diverse cultures and treat everyone (internal and external customers) with respect and dignity.
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality in all situations and follow the laws and intent of the most current HIPPA laws and regulations, and security and privacy policies.
  • Above average ability to quickly analyze, comprehend, and create written/verbal medical and business communication and documentation.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to practice chiropractic skillfully and safely.
  • Knowledge of the cultural and social backgrounds of the Native American and under or uninsured population.
  • Must have a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from an accredited chiropractic college.
  • Must have passed the National Board of Chiropractic Examiner (NBCE) and Physiotherapy (PHT) examinations for board certification.
  • Must have a permanent and unrestricted license to practice chiropractic in Arizona.
  • Ability to obtain Physical Medicine Modalities and Therapeutic Procedures Certificate.
  • Ability to become credentialed with contracted health plans.
  • Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs (as determined by OIG).
  • Must possess a valid and unrestricted Arizona driver’s license (within 30 days of hire if applicant is from out-of-state) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the last five years.
  • No more than two at-fault accidents in the last three years.
  • Must maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license during employment.
  • Must be insurable under NATIVE HEALTH’s liability auto policy.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety (90) calendar days of employment and retain a valid card while employed with NATIVE HEALTH.
  • Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.
  • Must provide an updated immunization (IZ) record at the time of employment.
  • Must have a current (within 12 months) Tuberculosis (TB) skin report upon employment and provide an annual update.
  • Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within (90) calendar days of employment and maintain certification during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of directly related clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of development of chiropractic programs within FQHC settings preferred.
  • Multi-lingual (English/Spanish/Navajo) language skills are preferred.
  • McKenzie Certification preferred.
  • Current ACLS certification is preferred.
