About The Position

Virtuous Wellness Center (VWC) is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Chiropractic Assistant (CA) to join their team. The CA provides both clinical and administrative support under the direct supervision of a licensed Chiropractor in accordance with Maryland regulations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining clinic flow, ensuring compliance, and delivering an exceptional patient experience. Licensure is required. We welcome both experienced Chiropractic Assistants and newly qualified individuals.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed as Chiropractic Assistants in Maryland or currently in the licensure process.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work under the direct supervision of a licensed Chiropractor in accordance with Maryland regulations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Willingness to complete structured on-the-job training for delegated clinical duties.
  • CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).

Nice To Haves

  • Active Maryland Chiropractic Assistant (CA) license (if applicable under current Maryland Board requirements).
  • Prior experience in a chiropractic, physical therapy, or medical office setting.
  • Experienced in handling multiple insurance plans, including eligibility verification, benefits interpretation, and authorization processes.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for treatment.
  • Assist with proper patient positioning during chiropractic care.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (E-stim, ultrasound, heat/cold therapy, traction as delegated).
  • Guide patients through prescribed exercises.
  • Monitor patient comfort and report changes.
  • Maintain clean, organized treatment areas.
  • Register new patients and verify demographic information.
  • Verify insurance and collect referrals when required.
  • Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars.
  • Collect co-pays and process payments.
  • Support billing documentation.
  • Assist with KPI tracking and supply management.
