Chiropodist - Long Term Care Home (Contract Position)
About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Foot Care Nurse to provide routine and specialized foot care services to residents in a Long Term Care Home. The successful candidate will assess and treat residents according to their individual needs, provide foot health education, maintain accurate documentation in resident charts, and communicate relevant care recommendations to staff. Services are provided on-site at scheduled clinics, with follow-up visits typically occurring every 6 to 8 weeks. This is a contract position where fees charged to residents are subject to the approval of both the Facility and the Professional. The current fee is $30 per resident for a routine visit. Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Evidence of certification from his/her licensing body confirming current license is active and in good standing
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Able to supply and maintain all required foot care equipment in accordance with infection prevention and control standards
