About The Position

Sutco USA is seeking a Chip Truck Driver to join their team in Priest River, ID. As a Sutherland Group company, Sutco USA prioritizes the happiness, success, and growth of its team members and community, aiming to elevate and innovate in the transportation industry. This role involves conducting pre and post-trip inspections, safely loading and unloading materials, securing freight, tarping the vehicle, chaining up as needed for road conditions, maintaining electronic records using the ISAAC system, and ensuring the truck is clean and safe at the end of each shift.

Requirements

Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing.
Ability to enter Canada for work purposes (COVID-19 vaccine no longer required to enter Canada)

Nice To Haves

2 years of trucking experience preferred
Winter mountain driving experience preferred
Clean driver’s abstract (please attach with the application)

Responsibilities

Conduct pre and post trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, road worthiness and regulatory compliance.
Load and unload wood residual fiber products in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure safe transportation of freight by securing goods while loading and unloading.
Tarp vehicle using manual or auto tarps as available.
Chain-up vehicle based on road conditions.
Complete all electronic records regarding working hours, vehicle status and maintenance records using the industry’s best fleet management system, ISAAC.
Ensure trucks are left clean and safe at the end of each shift.
