About The Position

The Chip Runner role involves high-volume customer interactions, requiring an outgoing, upbeat, and cheerful demeanor. Responsibilities include the redemption and sale of cash and chips to guests, filling dealer trays, and completing necessary paperwork. The role also involves assisting valued players with account numbers, player cards, and promotions. Building guest relations is key, achieved by talking with customers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back. The position demands superior guest service, positively affecting interactions with guests and employees, and the ability to handle difficult guests and work effectively and courteously with fellow employees. A thorough understanding of Title 31 guidelines and the utilization of suspicious activity reports for casinos (SARC) is required. Chip Runners must be familiar with all casino events and promotional activities, assisting as needed. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and adhering to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies ethically are essential. The role includes handling routine customer complaints and incidents, with the discretion to identify situations requiring supervisory attention and resolving issues to maintain positive guest relationships. A flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary, as shifts may change. Additionally, the role involves assisting in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of discarded items left by guests and performing other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by management.

  • Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with customers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
  • Provide superior guest service, positively affect interactions with guests and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
  • Be familiar with Title 31 guidelines, and understand and utilize suspicious activity reports for casinos (SARC) when necessary.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities, and assist as needed.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
  • Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
  • Assist in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of any cups, glasses, bottles, or other items left on the floor by guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.
