About The Position

As a busy interpreting service provider, we are seeking to onboard hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to use their cultural knowledge to help non English speakers in their area. We have an immediate need for Chinese interpreters in the Omaha area. This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs. As a company providing interpretation services to medical facilities, we require all interpreter candidates to provide proof of vaccination as part of our hiring process. This is necessary to comply with our clients' health and safety requirements. If you have a medical or religious exemption, please inform us, and appropriate accommodations will be considered. Please be prepared to submit your vaccination proof or exemption documentation prior to your interview. All medical information will be handled confidentially in accordance with applicable laws.

Requirements

Fully bilingual
Excellent communication and listening skills
Familiarity with medical terminology
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance
Must be available for in-person interpretation only
Must have transportation to attend appointments locally
Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
Must have access to a printer
Must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM
