About The Position

Northeastern Chimney Inc. is now hiring a full-time Chimney Technician Apprentice in West Hartford, CT for motivated individuals who are ready to learn a respected trade. With weekday scheduling and strong earning potential, this apprenticeship is built for those who want to work hard and move up. As our Chimney Technician Apprentice, you'll earn $17–$35 per hour, plus bonus and commission opportunities. This is a full-time apprenticeship, Monday–Friday, with required weekend availability and overtime during peak season. In this apprenticeship, you'll prepare for inspections, climb roofs, and sweep chimneys while prioritizing safety and quality. You'll install chimney caps, identify issues, explain findings to customers, and create estimates for additional work. You'll engage in training, collaborate with your team, and manage your time as you move between jobs. We are a family-owned residential chimney maintenance and repair company, serving the area since 1984. Our certified technicians handle repairs, inspections, cleaning, and rebuilding. We are fully licensed and insured, and active members of the National Chimney Sweep Guild (NCSG) and the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA). Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
  • US citizen
  • Dependable form of transportation
  • Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, in attics, and tight spaces
  • Willingness to work overtime during the peak season
  • Strong time management and punctuality
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to learn sales skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Home services or construction experience is a plus
