About The Position
Mad Science is hiring a Part Time Children's Instructor with a non-traditional schedule. This role involves transforming laboratory science into fun, interactive learning experiences for youth from Pre-K to 6th grade. The company culture emphasizes working smart, having a good time, wearing many hats, and collaborative work to ensure students and families are thrilled by their learning experience. The job is different and exciting, offering work 2-5 days a week between 2:30pm and 5:30pm.
Requirements
- Flexible, creative, engaging, and have excellent verbal communication skills.
- Love children, science, teaching and/or acting.
- Own a car.
- Take initiative and leadership.
- Thrive in environments with support and autonomy.
- Excited by non-traditional work schedules and the gig economy.
- Not afraid to try new things and love variety.
Responsibilities
- Drive to a school, daycare, or park and rec.
- Lead an immersive and interactive science lesson (workshops, day camps, week long camps, etc) after paid training.
