About The Position

This position helps support a team that examines child safety concerns and evaluates key practices to strengthen overall system performance. As a Children, Youth, and Families Program Specialist 2, you will perform the following duties: Team Leadership: Lead staff through daily supervision, workload planning, skill development, and performance evaluation. Case Analysis Oversight: Guide assessments of child fatalities and near-fatalities to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Safety Review Coordination: Manage real-time assessments of high-risk cases to determine urgent safety needs and alignment with standards. Risk Communication: Share safety concerns with leadership by outlining risks, recommended actions, and timelines. Documentation Quality: Maintain clear review materials by writing, evaluating, and refining summaries and reports. Systemwide Insights: Identify trends and risks across review activities to strengthen practice, policy, and resource planning.

Requirements

  • One year as a Children, Youth and Families Program Specialist 1
  • Three years of professional level experience in the field of children, youth and families, and a bachelor's degree
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
