About The Position

As a Children's Room Specialist Intern, you’ll work with our Children and Youth Services Program serving children aged 2 and up who obtain support at the Brooklyn Family Justice Center. Participating in and facilitating appropriate early childhood and school-aged activities. You’ll also participate in community outreach, service linkages, and other resources for the children in our program.

Requirements

• Are creative, responsible, patient, kind, and caring.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Have a school diploma (associate's degree preferred but not required).

Nice To Haves

• Have a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Participating in and facilitating appropriate early childhood and school-aged activities.
• Participate in community outreach, service linkages, and other resources for the children in our program.
• Lead STEM projects.
• Lead Arts and Crafts activities.
• Lead Computer literacy sessions.
• Provide Homework help and education support.
• Facilitate the development of life skills.
