About The Position

St. Paul’s Anglican Church is seeking a part-time Children’s Ministry Coordinator to lead ministries for elementary-school aged children, primarily on Sundays. This role involves forming children within the church's tradition, engaging with families, and managing administrative tasks related to the children's ministry. The position requires a commitment to Christian faith, a love for children, and the ability to work within the Anglican Church of Canada's traditions.

Requirements

An active and vibrant Christian faith and commitment to the communal life of the church.
A love for children and passion for their formation as followers of Jesus.
Ability to communicate in ways compatible with children’s learning styles.
Basic administrative abilities.
Comfortable working within the liturgical and theological tradition of the Anglican Church of Canada.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in teaching is an asset.
Exhibiting wisdom and loving compassion towards children and families.

Responsibilities

Deliver weekly care for elementary school aged children at 9:00 am and 11:00 am services from September to June.
Implement curriculum for kindergarten through grade 6 in cooperation with parish clergy.
Recruit, screen, train, oversee, and support a volunteer team.
Foster a good relationship with parents and maintain a visible profile in the church.
Maintain an orderly Sunday School room and keep necessary supplies stocked.
Keep regular contact with parents and families, informing them of upcoming events and lesson content.
Assist in engaging children in the Christmas Eve family service.
Plan, implement, and manage the yearly budget.
Provide a yearly written report to vestry.
