About The Position

In collaboration with the Director of Campus Ministry, the Chaplain, and the other Youth Minister, the Youth Ministry Coordinator will coordinate and oversee the implementation of a monthly Youth Group Program and a monthly Family Mass Program on Sunday nights that primarily serve Confirmation students and their families. The Youth Ministry Coordinator will also coordinate and oversee the all-grade level Campus Ministry Internship Program. Other duties include: Facilitating Confirmation formation sessions, as well as assisting with two Confirmation retreats and two prayer services. Assisting with three family retreats. Supporting all-school and grade level liturgies, prayer services, and retreats. Attending all Campus Ministry Department meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Active, practicing Roman Catholic committed to Church teachings and Catholic Social Teaching.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Education, Pastoral Ministry, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Three to five years of Youth Ministry experience in a Catholic parish or high school.
  • Proven ability to work in collaboration with others, as well as delegate and supervise tasks.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Professional temperament and appearance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Ability to work and relate to a variety of personalities and cultures.
  • Able to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Able to handle multiple assignments consecutively.
  • Able to prioritize workload while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability and approval to drive a 10 passenger van as needed.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during youth ministry events, retreats, liturgies, meetings, and school activities.
  • Ability to move throughout classrooms, worship spaces, campus facilities, and retreat locations.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, including supplies, audiovisual equipment, tables, chairs, and event materials.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb stairs while setting up, supporting, and cleaning up ministry events.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other standard office equipment, including prolonged periods of keyboarding and viewing computer screens.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and by telephone with students, parents, volunteers, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to read written materials, forms, electronic communications, and presentation materials.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions during retreats, service activities, liturgies, and ministry events.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight retreats.
  • Ability to safely operate a 10 passenger van.

Benefits
