About The Position

Reporting to the Children's Learning Center Manager, the lead classroom teacher will provide care and educational opportunities for children enrolled in the program. As an LCCC employee, you will have access to all the campus has to offer, while working in one of the leading centers in the county. Commodore Kids Teachers are trusted to create developmentally appropriate lesson plans, have access to a multitude of materials and supplies, and are actively involved in the children’s learning.

Responsibilities

Devise and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with the overall program mission and with relevant educational standards
Prepare materials to support planned activities
Maintain a guidance plan by utilizing proactive strategies, while encouraging positive social behavior
Maintain and support a safe learning environment
Assist with the inventory and proper utilization of supplies and consumables
Establish and maintain home/school connections
Utilize and model active listening skills
Communicate effectively with the children, families, co-workers, and LCCC's faculty/staff
Be a role model for adult learners assigned to the classroom
Assist the Children's Learning Center administrators to meet all regulations and program needs
