About The Position

Kidcreate Studio is seeking a part-time lead art teacher to teach children in studio locations and throughout the South Orange County community. The role includes birthday parties, mobile after-school classes, and studio camps during school breaks. The schedule is based on the candidate’s availability and the studio’s needs, typically 15–25 hours per week, with hours that may vary from week to week. The position suits someone who enjoys working with children, art, and variety in their work. Curriculum and lesson plans are provided.

Requirements

Must be 21 years or older.
Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation; public transportation is not suitable for this role.
Able to frequently lift and carry 10–20 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Flexible availability and comfort with part-time hours that vary from week to week.
Experience working with groups of preschool- and/or elementary-aged children.
Demonstrated reliability in past situations.

Nice To Haves

College education, either completed or in progress.
Strong interest in arts and crafts.
Enthusiasm, patience, and an outgoing personality, especially an interest in teaching children's parties.

Responsibilities

Prepare for classes, camps, and parties using the provided curriculum.
Lead classes and events for children ages 3–11.
Manage a classroom of 10–20 students; larger classes will generally have an assistant.
Interact with parents and caregivers.
Maintain classrooms, materials, and supplies.
