About The Position

The Iowa Judicial Branch, Children’s Justice in State Court Administration, is seeking applicants for a Program Coordinator to support Treatment Court programs in District 2, Story and Marshall counties. This position will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Adult Treatment Court, Mental Health Treatment Court, or like programs in District 2. This position will manage referrals, intake, and orientation, and serve as the first line of communication between participants and the court team. This position will collect and maintain accurate case data, serve as a liaison between participants, treatment teams, and community service providers, and support program improvement through data analysis and compliance reporting. This position may occasionally attend court hearings, community events, and coordinator meetings both in person and virtually, with availability for evening meetings as needed. The successful candidate will be able to learn and navigate case management systems and program-specific technology to maintain current and accurate records and materials. This position will have the ability to professionally communicate and build relationships with a variety of individuals including parents, judges, treatment team members, and community partners. The successful candidate will have a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to family engagement and keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and integrity of case data and compliance reporting. This position will also coordinate training opportunities and multi-disciplinary team functions to support the ongoing development of the Treatment Court models. This position may involve travel to other counties within the judicial district as well as occasional travel outside of District 2.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or high school equivalency diploma)
  • One (1) year of full-time experience in the administration, operation, or execution of a program.
  • Experience may be substituted with related education on the basis that successful completion of thirty (30) semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively.
  • Ability to coordinate program activities within prescribed budget parameters.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field.
  • Two (2) years of full-time experience in mental health, healthcare, family services, or court/legal system.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and online meeting programs.
  • Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Adult Treatment Court, Mental Health Treatment Court, or like programs in District 2.
  • Manage referrals, intake, and orientation.

  • Execute and implement the Iowa Judicial Branch program within established parameters and budgets.
  • Provide training and instruction for program participants and users to support the program goals.
  • Execute program activities within established policies, plans, and budgets.
  • Track key metrics, produce progress reports, and regularly update stakeholders.
  • Maintain records pertaining to program activities.
  • Communicate and coordinate with program participants.
  • Other duties as assigned.
