Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher – Full-Time ($13–$18/hr)
About The Position
Angie's Angels Child Development is seeking a full-time Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children, wants hands-on experience in childcare, and is interested in growing in the field of early childhood education. We are hiring for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. Classroom placement is based on experience, interests, and current center needs. Most positions follow a consistent daytime schedule (for example, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) within center hours of 5:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working with young children, values relationships and play-based learning, and wants a stable role in early childhood education. Depending on classroom placement, you may work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or Pre-K children.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention
- No formal childcare experience is required - we will train the right candidate who is dependable, caring, and eager to learn.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with children, including childcare, daycare, preschool, school, camp, or similar settings
- Interest in early childhood education or child development
- CDA (Child Development Associate)
- Dependable, patient, caring, and team-oriented attitude
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Help prepare and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning and play activities
- Supervise children during play, learning, meals, outdoor time, and transitions
- Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment
- Assist with classroom documentation and daily records
- Communicate respectfully with families and team members
- Follow state licensing requirements and center policies
- Work collaboratively with classroom and center leadership to support consistent program quality
