About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring staff for our Summer Camp Program for the 2026 school year. This is a part-time, non-exempt position located at the Healthy Kids Early Learning Center at 21 Liberty Street in Monticello, NY. The pay is $16.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday-Friday, with shifts between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM during the summer. There is potential to continue beyond summer with different hours. A featured benefit is employer-paid childcare for school-age children (ages 5-12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.

Requirements

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat.
• Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.

Responsibilities

• Support daily camp activities, including games, projects, special events, and themed arts & crafts.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment where campers feel supported, encouraged, and engaged.
• Ensure camper safety and follow all state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school policies.
• Communicate daily with families using the Playground App and provide support during parent orientations.
• Support community outreach to promote the program and engage prospective families.
• Lead by example with enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude.
