About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Childcare Site Director for our Before and After School Program at Park Elementary School in Columbia, PA for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves shaping a safe and fun environment where children can grow and thrive, leading engaging activities, and being part of a positive, supportive team. The position is part-time, non-exempt, with a split shift schedule: Morning Program from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM and Afternoon Program from 3:05 PM to 6:05 PM. A key benefit is employer-paid childcare for school-age children enrolled in the program on the days and hours the employee works.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
  • Bachelor's Degree including 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13.
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 3 years of experience working with children under 13.
  • Associate's Degree including 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 4 years of experience working with children under 13.
  • Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with PA DHS/OCDEL school-age regulations
  • Maintain child and staff files, attendance records, and required documentation onsite
  • Keep the program organized and audit-ready
  • Lead engaging activities (STEAM, fitness, academics, arts, homework support)
  • Actively supervise children and staff, including playground oversight
  • Maintain safe staff-to-child ratios and strong behavior management
  • Oversee daily attendance, registration, and scheduling
  • Serve as liaison between families, school administration, and the Healthy Kids main office
  • Communicate clearly and professionally using the Playground App
