About The Position

We are an equal opportunity employer and a Drug Free Workplace. This position is for a Childcare center classroom FLOATER PART-TIME in our Downtown Miami childcare centers. The work days are Monday through Friday, with part-time hours from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The rate of pay is $16.89 per hour. This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent GED, and MUST have a CDA Preschool or FCCPC Birth to Five.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent GED
CDA Preschool or FCCPC Birth to Five (for Option 1 pay)
DCF 45 Childcare hours, Part 1 & 2 completed (for Option 2 pay, with an 18-month contingency to complete CDA courses)
Red Cross First Aid & CPR certificate
Certificate of good health
Completed TB test
Fingerprints for level 2 criminal background check
Mandatory drug test

Responsibilities

Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate, nurturing care for children in a center-based setting
Coordinate use of community resources to enrich the learning environment
Support program philosophy that parents are the primary educators and nurturers of their children
Enhance the relationship of parents and their children by encouraging parent participation
Oversee and assist with classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily
Assist children in transitioning beginning and end of each day and during field trips
Maintain program standards regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries
Planning and implementing daily learning activities
Nurturing the children
Managing and maintaining the Early Head Start classroom and its equipment and supplies
Establishing and maintaining supportive relationships with children and parents
Implementing developmentally appropriate routines and curriculum for infants and toddlers, and preschoolers
