About The Position

We are an equal opportunity employer. We are a Drug Free Workplace. This position is for a Childcare center classroom FLOATER PART-TIME located in CHILDCARE CENTERS IN DOWNTOWN MIAMI. The work days are Monday thru Friday, with part-time hours from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The rate of pay is $16.89 per hour. This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent GED, and MUST have CDA Preschool or FCCPC Birth to Five. The responsibilities include planning and implementing daily learning activities, nurturing children, managing and maintaining the Early Head Start classroom and its equipment and supplies, establishing and maintaining supportive relationships with children and parents, and implementing developmentally appropriate routines and curriculum for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• MUST have CDA Preschool or FCCPC Birth to Five for Option 1 pay
• For Option 2: High School Diploma or equivalent GED, and candidate to have DCF 45 Childcare hours, Part 1 & 2 completed.
• Substitute will be hired with an 18-month contingency to take courses and complete CDA courses.
• Red Cross First Aid & CPR certificate
• Certificate of good health
• Completed TB test required
• Fingerprints for level 2 criminal background check
• Mandatory drug test

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate, nurturing care for children in a center-based setting
• Coordinate use of community resources to enrich the learning environment
• Support program philosophy that parents are the primary educators and nurturers of their children
• Enhance the relationship of parents and their children by encouraging parent participation
• Oversee and assist with classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily
• Assist children in transitioning beginning and end of each day and during field trips
• Maintain program standards regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries
