Childcare Lead Teacher
About The Position
The Childcare Lead Teacher will be responsible for the Walker Room and will be an ESS/Willsub Employee. This role requires meeting licensing and program requirements, including background checks and clearances. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for daily teaching and supervision of children and childcare staff, under the daily supervision of the childcare director. The position involves developing and implementing lesson plans, assessing children's growth, and leading classroom staff positively. A key aspect of this role is fostering a positive and caring environment through collaboration with colleagues and parents.
Requirements
- Meet licensing/program requirements for a background check, fingerprinting, and other program clearances
- Meet all Michigan child care licensing requirements to serve as a Lead Teacher
- Obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification
- Experience working with Toddler children 1-2 years
- Experience working with early childhood aged children
- Experience working with Toddlers
- Michigan’s Infant and Toddler Development And Care Practices Course Completion
- Strong computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with early childhood standards and benchmarks
- Knowledge of High Scope Curriculum
