Childcare Lead Teacher
About The Position
The Childcare Lead Teacher will be responsible for the Walker Room. This position is for an ESS/Willsub Employee. The role involves daily teaching and supervision of children, as well as the daily supervision of childcare staff, under the primary supervision of the childcare director. The position requires a positive and caring attitude, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure student success and a positive, caring environment. The successful candidate will also assist in assessing children's growth and development and develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily routines.
Requirements
- Meet licensing/program requirements for a background check, fingerprinting, and other program clearances
- Meet all Michigan child care licensing requirements to serve as a Lead Teacher
- Obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification
- Experience working with Toddler children
- 1-2 years working with early childhood aged children
- Strong computer skills

- Familiar with early childhood standards and benchmarks
- Knowledge of High Scope Curriculum
