Childcare Floater/Teacher Aide
About The Position
The Growing Years of Apex is a licensed childcare center seeking Floaters/Teacher Aides to work with all age groups. This role requires a willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed, including covering staff breaks, filling in for absences, and assuming classroom duties before or after scheduled shifts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, kindness, and positive interactions with children, parents, and staff, operating as a team player under the director of the lead teacher. The position also involves physical demands such as sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Requirements
- High school diploma OR GED
- Ability to pass all background checks

Responsibilities
- Willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed. This includes covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members before or after their scheduled shifts.
- Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
- Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
