About The Position
We are seeking a Childcare Cook to join our Overland Park team at New Horizon Academy! We are looking for someone who wants to inspire, encourage, and celebrate a child's love of learning every day. As a New Horizon Academy educator, you will delight in beautifully equipped classrooms, have support and encouragement from knowledgeable staff, and be a brain-builder who will help shape the leaders of tomorrow.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience preferred.
- Previous experience in Early Childhood Education or related field of work.
Responsibilities
- Work full-time, Monday-Friday, from 7:00am-4:00pm.
- Maintain a positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude.
- Be comfortable working with food allergies/restrictions.
- Enjoy working in a child-centered environment.
- Be willing to learn.
- Meet or exceed state qualifications for the listed position.
- Meet position qualification requirements as outlined by the state department guidelines.
- Satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
- Provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
- Have the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff, as well as to understand state licensing regulations and company policies.
