Requirements

  • Ability to lead, organize, and teach children.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Capable and comfortable interacting with children reading stories, dancing, creating arts and crafts projects, etc.
  • Shows maturity when interacting with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Strong team player and dependable.
  • High level of patience and able to cope well with stress.
  • Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certified (Training provided).
  • Must be able to pick up small children (up to 75lbs).
  • Models professionalism through punctuality, attire, and communication.
  • Takes responsibility for knowing their schedule and managing changes in advance by communicating with their supervisor at least seven days prior to any requested adjustment.
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully with guests, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Collaborates effectively with peers, leadership, and parents.
  • Pursues growth through training, feedback, and mentorship.
  • Makes thoughtful, safety-minded, and guest/family-focused decisions that align with MSS values and supports a positive team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with young children ages 8 weeks to 3 years in a Childcare Center setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides superior care for children as young as 8 weeks through 3 years old, by creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for them to thrive in.
  • Responsible for the immediate and safe care of all children both indoors and outdoors.
  • Greet parents and children; assist with registration, check-in/check-out procedures, questions, and concerns at Kids' Ranch.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with county health regulations, fire codes, state of Wyoming childcare licensing regulations and OSHA laws.
  • Participate in all required training to become and remain current in childcare best practices.
  • Plan and lead appropriate activities in art, music, organized play, etc., in accordance with developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Accurately complete required logs and child's daily report card; ensure that all forms are filled out correctly.
  • Perform required clean-up duties throughout the day including laundry, dishes, and sanitation.
  • Provide a positive, fun, safe environment for the children and parents.
