About The Position

Begin Anew is seeking a Student Employee to serve as a Childcare Assistant. This role involves assisting the Childcare Coordinator in caring for the children of Adult GED students during class time. The position also includes assisting with Story Time, Play Time, and potentially helping the Program Director with class setup for the evening. Positions are available in Franklin, Madison, Crievewood, and Woodbine.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a current student at Belmont University
• Applicants MUST have Federal Work Study
• Applicants MUST have reliable means of transportation
• Maturity, humor and the ability to be lovingly firm
• Reliability a must!
• Must be able to physically keep up with children ages birth through 5th grade
• May include sitting on the floor to play and lifting small children

Nice To Haves

• Childcare experience helpful but not mandatory
